Sol Lewitt Museum
Identity design and custom typography for Sol Lewitt Museum
Inspired by the simplicity and conceptual thinking behind Sol Lewitt's work Incomplete Open Cubes, I designed a display typeface Structure to honorhis masterpiece. Structure is the word Lewitt himself preferred over the word sculpture.
Structure has three different weights and more variables will be added. The typeface provices multiple substitutional glyphs that are designed in incomplete forms like the artwork. The incompleteness allow the viewers to connect the missing parts to understand the letterforms.
